We knew that our up-to-date hardware provided better, faster Internet service, but some potential customers asked us to prove it, and we took them up on it.

The test we used demonstrates real-world performance for web browsing and accessing email by measuring the time it takes to download a 1.0 Megabyte HTML web page.  To make sure the test was fair, that 1 MB web page was located hundreds of miles away, on a server in Canada.

As you can see from the chart at the right, the results were even better than we expected.  Even at a slightly slower connection speed, iNetCi was more than TWICE AS FAST!!!

Browsing the web at over 100K while connected to iNetCi is nearly as fast as some DSL service, at less than half the cost!  That makes iNetCi the BEST Internet Service Value in Carroll!

Test Information: Tests were performed using an Intel Celeron 1.0 GHz Processor, 128 MB SDRAM, 56K V.90/V.92 PCI Modem with Lucent/Agere Chipset, running Windows Millenium Edition with Internet Explorer 6.0.  Tests for both service providers were run using the same computer, same modem, and same phone line.  Actual speeds will vary depending upon locations and phone line qualities; however, the improvement in performance shown is typical when browsing the web and accessing email.  Transfer rates shown at the top of the chart are shown in "KB/sec", Kilobytes per second. 1 Kilobyte = 1024 Bytes, 1 Byte = 8 bits.  KB/sec is the number usually shown by Internet Explorer when downloading a file.  Throughput at the bottom of the chart shown in "Kbps", Kilobits per second.  1 Kilobit = 1000 bits.  Kbps is more typically used when referring to line speed, ie. a 56K modem is a 56Kbps modem, a 128K DSL line is 128Kbps.  Feel free to contact us with any questions by sending email to: support@inetci.net.
