Local Internet
Provider Tries to Mislead
Users With Inaccurate Email
CARROLL, Oct. 26 -- In
a desperate attempt to cut losses, on Friday, Oct. 25th, one local Internet Service Provider emailed their customers
making the ridiculous claim that it's not possible to get better dial-up Internet service.
Carroll Internet users were apparently not fooled by the inaccurate statements in that email. On Saturday, local Internet users continued to sign up for the faster, high-performance Internet service offered by iNetCi Internet.
For about the last year Carroll's dial-up Internet users, frustrated by poor Internet service and slow Internet performance, have been demanding more options. Beginning on July 1st this year, after several months of planning and preparation, iNetCi Internet was made available to those users.
Carroll Internet users that made the switch to iNetCi discovered right away just how fast dial-up Internet service could be. As word spread over the next several months, iNetCi has grown steadily as
Internet users switched from other local providers to the new, faster service.
In Friday's self-serving email to one provider's Internet customers, that provider claimed that
faster dial-up Internet service is not possible. Although it's true that a 56K modem is the fastest modem available, iNetCi technicians pointed out that modem communication speeds should not be confused with Internet performance. A user's Internet performance is affected by many additional factors that go far beyond the speed at which your modem connects, including Internet service
over subscription levels, bandwidth availability, network latency, communication protocols, and data compression just to name a few. For

performance, CLICK HERE.
Almost from the beginning iNetCi has called their Internet service "high-speed dial-up",
or "High Speed Lite", because many users experience a big improvement in Internet performance when switching to
iNetCi, without paying the high price for broadband. The email that was sent on Friday claimed that iNetCi should not be allowed to use the term "high-speed" because it is not a "broadband" service. That email in fact implied that iNetCi was breaking some FCC regulation by using the terminology
"high-speed".
The truth is that many Internet providers offering quality dial-up Internet service describe their service as "high-speed dial-up" and it should be clarified that no FCC regulation like this exists and that the FCC in no way regulates the Internet or Internet Service Providers. In fact, many dial-up Internet service providers that offer faster,
better service than their competitors refer to their service as
"High-Speed Dial-Up". Click here for a list of some
of them.
Fortunately, at a time when other local providers want you to spend more money for their broadband service rather than giving you the quality dial-up Internet service you expect, iNetCi continues to deliver on their promise of the best possible dial-up Internet service, at the lowest possible prices. INetCi appreciates their growing number of customers and invites you to
give their service a risk-free trial to see for yourself. For more information, contact iNetCi's sales department at
