iNetCi Virtual Server System

Logging On To Your iNetCi Virtual Server System

Below are some very short, general instructions for connecting to your iNetCi Virtual Server System.  For more information, always consult your software's documentation and if you need help, you can always email us at support@inetci.net

FTP:  Using an FTP client, such as WS_FTP (available from our Resource & Downloads page), direct it to the address of your Virtual Server (ie. yoursite.inetci.net) and use the username and password of your iNetCi Internet Account.  Make sure you enter ONLY your username (the part of your email address before the "@" sign), rather than your full email address.  Once you are connected, follow the instructions provided with your FTP software to transfer files to your site.

Microsoft FrontPage:  FrontPage gives you two options for working with your web site.  You can either work directly on your live web site, or you can create the web site on your computer's hard drive and Publish it to your Virtual Server when it's complete.  See the documentation under Help in FrontPage for more information.

To work directly on your web site, in FrontPage, click on the File menu, then on Open Web.  In the box, type in "http://" followed by your web address (for example: http://yoursite.inetci.net), then click the Open button.  You will be prompted for your username and password.  As with FTP access above, make sure you use just your username, and not your full email address.  Once you are logged onto your Virtual Server, follow the instructions included with Microsoft FrontPage to create your web site.

If you are creating your web site first on your computer's hard drive, when you are done and ready to transfer your web pages to your web site, with your web site open in FrontPage, click on the File menu, then click Publish.  Follow the instructions on the screen, entering your web address (http://yoursite.inetci.net) and your username and password as above.
